Holy busy! I have been SO busy with family, house work, church responsibilities, and the Primary program.
Madison started afternoon kindergarten this year at Chappelow, her teacher is Mrs. Stewart. I believe she is having a good time. She enjoys doing her homework and reading books. We had parent teacher conference on Friday and her teacher said she is quite a talker. I enjoy having her home on Mondays. She goes in the afternoon from Tuesday to Friday and has an extended day on Friday where she does dance, music, PE, and Art. Her favorite thing to do right now is to fight with Kevin, play outside with neighborhood friends, and play with the Fisher-Price Family.
Kevin is in his last year in elementary school. He is a fifth grader at Chappelow K-8. His teacher Mr. Fairchild is enjoying having Kevin in his classroom. Kevin has decided to join the orchestra this year. Mr. Nugent his orchestra teacher is awesome. Kevin was so excited to bring home his cello the other day. We have been enjoying listening to him learn to play his cello by picking it instead of using the bow. I am grateful that Chappelow allows the fifth-graders to start either band or orchestra and I'm glad that Kevin is totally enjoying it! I was proud of him when we went to his parent teacher conference and found out that he two years in a row is advanced in math.Kevin enjoyed his summer and was able to go and spend one-on-one time with his grandmother. This was a highlight to his summer vacation... His older sisters always had the opportunity and he was grateful that this year was his turn!
Megan has started at Greeley West this year for math. She is in her last year at Chappelow and took the opportunity to be a web leader this year. She is enjoying helping every Monday with the web training for the students who are incoming sixth-graders at Chappelow. Megan loves playing the flute and enjoys being in Jazz band and advanced band this year. She has recovered from her knee surgery last year and is doing great. Megan will turn 14 tomorrow and be a Mia Maid. She has served the last little bit as a president in the beehive class and will miss being with those girls.
Emmy is in her second year at West. She is REALLY enjoying the piano Brian found for free on Craigslist. She plays it on a daily basis. She is also doing well in her classes and always gets emails from her teachers about what a wonderful student she is. She is such an awesome example at home and at school. She is hoping to be in the school play this year at west ( they try out I believe after Christmas break?) Emmy continues with her secound year in early morning seminary. Being an example to her younger siblings of the importance of attending seminary. She also really enjoyed taking a driving class this summer. She was able to get her permit on her birthday and takes every opportunity to drive the van. :) I think she has had other opportunities to drive other nicer cars as well. :)
